Destination Weddings in Jim Corbett
River Heritage Resort hosts destination weddings on two acres of riverside lawns near Jim Corbett National Park. Bugyal Lawn takes 500 or more guests for a baraat, sangeet or reception; Kosi Lawn seats around 300 with the river as the backdrop; and the Prayag banquet hall covers indoor functions and smaller ceremonies for about 100 guests.
With 52 rooms on site, most wedding parties book the resort exclusively so that the mehndi, haldi, pheras and reception all run in one place without guests travelling between venues. Our team coordinates catering from the SROT kitchens, décor and floral setups, stage and sound, priest and ritual arrangements, guest transfers from Ramnagar and Delhi, and safari or spa add-ons for the days around the wedding.
Corporate offsites, milestone birthdays and anniversary celebrations use the same venues. Wedding enquiries are quoted per event based on guest count, room nights, season and menu, and the reservations team shares an itemised proposal after a short call.
October to March is the most popular wedding window, when Corbett evenings are cool enough for open-air dinners on the lawns; monsoon dates are quieter and better value, with the Prayag hall as the covered alternative if it rains. Guests usually arrive a day early, which leaves room for a safari, a spa session or a sundowner by the Kosi before the functions begin.
Practical details families ask about: parking and coach access at the gate, a green room close to the lawns for the bride and groom, generator backup for lights and sound, in-house catering with Jain, vegetarian and live-counter menus, an on-site team to receive décor vendors, and rooms held together in the same block so families stay near each other.
Guests travel here from Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Chandigarh and Lucknow. Ramnagar railway station is the closest rail head and the drive from Delhi takes roughly six hours. Check-in is from 2:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM.
Days at the resort are usually built around a jungle safari in Corbett, a guided nature walk, riverside yoga, birdwatching, a village visit to Chooti Haldwani, and a bonfire dinner by the water. Our team arranges safari permits, transfers and itineraries on request.
